Why Learn With Rise Surf School?

We offer a small friendly operation. If you already know the basic or are more advanced we can help you become even better.

Rise surf school has BSA level 1 and 2 coaches. This means we can coach all different levels of surfing.

The coaches have a British Surfing Association qualification and lifeguard certificate with 5million Indemnity surf school insurance.

Jesse Davies started surfing at a young age with his
brother Gabe and later his brother Owain. Gabe and Jesse were fortunate to be inspired and helped by a
professional surfer of the time called Vietch.

At 17 Jesse was in the top 30 men at the Mens division at
the Europeans Championships hosted in Portugal. He
has been East Coast and Scottish mens Champion. In
2005/6 he has a 5th place British senior ranking.

Jesse flew to the 2008 ISA World Masters Championships in Peru with the British Team. He finished with a World ranking of 17th. The surfing standard and waves were great for the event. Jesse like his brother Gabe is perhaps better known for surfing exploits outside the surfing contest scene.
